A Fine 19th Century Silver Gilt City of London Ceremonial Staff Finial, carried on the occasion of the Grant of the Freedom City of London to H.R.H. Prince Alfred, later third Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, hallmarked Birmingham 1866.

A Superb 19th Century Polychrome Enamel
Presentation Photographic Portrait
Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, in the uniform of the Rifle Brigade, and wearing the breast stars of a Knight of the Garter, a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath (military division), the breast badges of the House Order of the Grand Duchy of Saxony (Ernestine Order) and the Danish Order of the Dannenbrog, surrounded by a champeleve enamel slip, the whole contained in a ormolu frame surmounted with ribbons and the Prince of Wales’s feathers. Signed and dated to the reverse: ‘Procédé Deroche, 39 Bvd. des Capucines, Paris, 1875’ and initialled ‘MD’ for Mathieu Deroche.
